A Simple, Healthy Yogurt Bowl
Having breakfast prepared makes busy mornings less hectic. This yogurt bowl is quick to assemble, satisfying, and easy to customize.
High in protein and fiber, it’s something we prep ahead for a quick grab-and-go breakfast throughout the week.
What You’ll Need
Start with plain Greek yogurt. I prefer plain because the bowl is naturally sweetened with honey, though any yogurt base works well.
Then add:
a small handful of granola
1–2 tablespoons of chia seeds
fresh berries
raw honey
I use Purely Elizabeth granola because of the ingredient quality, and typically choose local raw honey when possible.
Why It Works
It’s a balanced combination of protein, fiber, and healthy fats that keeps you full throughout the morning.
The crunch from the granola and freshness from the berries help balance the thickness of Greek yogurt, which makes it far more enjoyable for those who typically dislike the texture.
Pro Tip
We prep sealable jars fully in advance so they’re ready to grab straight from the refrigerator on busier mornings. These jars also work well for general meal prep and refrigerator organization - we store chopped fruits and veggies in them as well.
Shop the jars → Prep ahead + breakfast on-the-go jars
They are glass, affordable, dishwasher safe, and have held up wonderfully over time. If you prefer not to store food in plastic containers, they’re a great alternative.
Final Thoughts
This particular breakfast feels both simple and considered.
It takes only a few minutes to assemble, uses ingredients we almost always have on hand, and makes sure we never skip breakfast on busy mornings.
